Abstract

In this chapter, two approximate analytical methods, i.e., differential transform Padé and differential transform basis function, are introduced. Using the two methods, we study magnetohydrodynamics(MHD) Falkner–Skan boundary layer flow, MHD fluid mixed convective and radiation heat transfer over the stretching wedge surface, MHD nanofluid boundary layer stagnation flow, and radiation heat transfer in a porous medium. Approximate analytical solutions are obtained for the problems and all results are verified by numerical solutions in good agreement. The effects of pertinent parameters on velocity and temperature fields are analyzed in detail.
