Abstract

Vitreous Fluorophotometry (V.F.) is a method developed to study intraocular fluid dynamics and the permeability of the barriers that serve as boundaries for the intraocular fluids. The method is particularly appropriate for examining vitreous dynamics and the permeability of the blood - retinal barrier which is the principal boundary surrounding the vitreous. Before presenting the technique of vitreous fluorophotometry and analyzing its results, there will be a brief introduction on intraocular fluid dynamics and blood ocular barriers.
