Abstract
In recent years, the plant factory has been put to practical use, and vegetables produced in the plant factory have appeared on our tables. Therefore, a market-in type plant factory that enables vegetable production with the quality desired by consumers is required. Technological innovation is occurring in plant factories due to the dramatic development of computers and the improvement of the light environment represented by LED lighting. However, the control technology of the plant factory is mainly used for securing the yield of vegetables, while few systems can control the vegetable quality design. Therefore, the quality, such as the ingredients and functionality of the vegetables produced by an “artificial light-type plant factory,” was arranged. In addition, regarding the vegetable cultivation recipe development to design vegetable quality, the advanced technology of seedling selection, cultivation recipe controlling minerals in the vegetables, and the current state of a genetically modified plant factory were considered.
