Abstract

Chapter 3 covers the frequency representation and frequency domain analysis of discrete time signals and systems. This includes the frequency domain representation of discrete time systems using the Discrete Fourier Transform and the Discrete Cosine Transform, frequency response estimates using pole–zero plots, convolution using the Discrete Fourier Transform, and frequency domain sampling. It covers applications such as filtering of discrete time sequences using the Discrete Fourier Transform, filtering of long data sequences, and algorithms for the Fast Fourier Transform.
