Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of the roles of noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) in plants during drought stress response, with a focus on microRNAs, their biogenesis, and their regulatory functions in plants. Additionally, the chapter highlights the roles and importance of other ncRNAs, such as small-interfering RNAs, long ncRNAs, and circular RNAs in drought stress response. Finally, future directions for research and potential of ncRNAs in drought stress response in plants are also discussed.
