Abstract
A recent investigation suggests that photobiomodulation (PBM) using near-infrared (NIR) light may improve symptoms of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). The objective of this chapter is to promote further interest in the study of treating mTBI with PBM using NIR in a specific manner and at a controlled dosage under a monitored protocol to create the first quantifiable and effective FDA cleared medical device and protocol for the diagnosis and treatment of mTBI.
