Abstract

This chapter presents three different types of arrangements of a photocatalytic continuous reactor where the photocatalyst is immobilized and a mobile phase transports a molecule of interest to undergo a surface photocatalytic reaction on the photocatalyst. In addition, the radiation source is presented in three different positions. The mass-transfer effect evaluation in steady-state is presented through a series of cases of photocatalytic reactors, and the analysis of the parameters of the Langmuir–Hinshelwood (L-H) models is discussed.
