Abstract
A literature review of chemically bonded phosphate ceramics is provided. The early research on dental cements, which formed the basis for modern development of chemically bonded phosphate ceramics (CBPCs), is discussed in detail to facilitate development of criteria for formulating the current CBPC formulations. A brief overview of niche applications of the current CBPC formulations is given. Details of each of the applications are discussed in foregoing chapters in the book.
