Abstract

Precision Nutrition is an emerging discipline that encompasses the use of scientific principles and evidence-based approaches in the delivery of patient-specific nutrition interventions. Advances in nutritional science have led to a greater understanding of the potential role of Precision Nutrition to not only improve the overall health of the nation, but also to reduce racial and ethnic minority health disparities. When it comes to nutrition and the factors that influence minority individuals, there is a need for comprehensive interventions that take into account both Precision Nutrition and minority-specific factors that affect health. These interventions must be tailored to meet the unique needs of individual subpopulations, and also include how environmental, educational, and structural factors are likely to influence dietary intake and clinical response. Furthermore, it is essential to develop culturally sensitive healthcare teams to deliver these nutrition interventions, as this can help support favorable health outcomes.
