Abstract

Agriculture plays an important role in the development of human civilization. Plant infections caused by pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi are continuous problems in agriculture industry. Because of these problems, nanosensors has been the most important tools in modern agriculture for early detection of plant diseases. A lot of efforts have been made to develop a variety of sensors for various applications in agriculture. Application of nanosensors in agriculture hold a significant promise in management of pathogens by controlling and providing diagnostic tools for early detection of plant diseases. Crucial characteristics such as speed and accuracy are needed to be considered for diseases detection at early stage. The use of nanosensors technology is suggested to aid, direct, and enhance traditionally substituted diagnostic techniques in detection of plant diseases at early stage. In addition, nanosensors can support sustainable agriculture for enhancing crop productivity.
