Abstract
Ceramic copper ferrite magnetic nanoparticles play a wide role in various application fields such as catalysts, biomedical, electronics and energy storage devices, etc.; in general, copper ferrite nanoparticle come under the category of magnetic metal oxides, which is highlighted in this chapter. There are different methods for the synthesis of copper ferrite nanoparticles such as coprecipitation method, hydrothermal method, sol–gel method, and autocombustion method, which are listed with references in this chapter. The structural, morphological, and magnetic studies of rare earth metals–doped copper ferrite nanoparticles analyzed and tabulated. It was revealed that the dopant, rare earth ions change the structural and magnetic properties of the copper ferrite nanoparticles. Furthermore, the applications of CuFe2O4 nanoparticles doped with rare earth ions are studied, which includes the high density—magnetic recorders, magnetic fluids, and permanent magnets.
