Abstract

From seismic stratigraphy in the 1970s to sequence stratigraphy and seismic sedimentology, the application of seismic data in geology analysis has experienced a history of more than 50 years. With the rapid development of seismic techniques and the improvement of seismic resolution, seismic data have been widely used in various fields of basin analysis. Seismic geological analysis techniques have become an indispensable and important method for basin analysis, especially for the underground geological research. Seismic geology emphasizes the usage of seismic data in the analysis of geological characteristics and geological formation processes, and broadens the adoption of seismic techniques to basin analysis and geological research. The seismic geological analysis of sedimentary basins includes the study of the basin stratigraphic architectures, the establishment of the basin tectonic framework, the basin sedimentary filling characteristics, and the distribution and prediction of sedimentary mineral resources.
