Abstract

Any processing plant has in its structure a specific sector for quality control, usually tied to a lab, whose main purposes are: quality control of raw materials; monitoring of production processes, especially to evaluate and quantify industrial losses; and quality control of final products. With regard to sugar and ethanol processing, these are precisely the roles of the quality control sector. To monitor such quality in manufacturing, it is imperative to count on good lab physical structures, accurate and reliable equipment, competent and well-trained technical staff and an efficient analysis plan.
