Abstract

In the 21st century, providing clean water via protects and cleaning the water resources from water contaminants is the source of the most anxiety for environmental challenges. The unquestionable scarcity of clean and pure water resources globally, owing to water contaminants, has necessarily created huge pressure on diverse world governments to adequately provide pure water to their populaces. The enormous amount of wastewater, including hazardous and toxic dyes, is released by numerous industries that pollute containing water in direct or indirect ways. The synthesis of polysaccharide-based nanomaterials (metal and metal oxides) plays an important role in the remediation of Methylene blue from water. This chapter represents the advances made in the synthesis of nanoparticles and polysaccharide-based nanocomposites and summarizes the application of these nanomaterials as an excellent adsorbent for the removal of Methylene blue dye from water. These nanopolysaccharides composites play an important role in water treatments because of cost-effectiveness, easy availability, and more effective properties.
