Abstract

Bismuth Phosphate (BiPO4) is a new type of oxy-acid salt photocatalyst that exhibited unique properties for various applications. In this chapter, the distinct synthesis route and application of the BiPO4 are deliberate and study. Furthermore, different modification methods are discussed primarily in the context of extending the light absorption to a higher wavelength. Also, a detailed study is performed to understand its electron mobility in environmental applications under visible light irradiation. Finally, the active radicals’ identification is summarized at the end of this chapter.
