Abstract
Pesticides play an important role in reducing chemical pesticides, increasing crop yield, controlling pest damage, and the negative externalities of agricultural products’ quality safety and environmental pollution caused by improper use of traditional pesticides in China. Biopesticides production in China is increasing rapidly, which should reduce the chemical pesticide load. This chapter, therefore, reviews the types of biopesticides available, their development, the registration and management systems involved, and the challenges and bottlenecks of the biopesticide industry in China. The formulation for prospects in China as a healthy alternative to hazardous synthetic chemicals is discussed.
