Abstract

In this chapter, we describe the principal experimental methods for measuring collisional transfer involving highly vibrationally excited polyatomic molecules, which are relevant to unimolecular reaction studies. The principles of each method are explained, and a summary of robust conclusions drawn from “direct” experimental methods (i.e., those that do not exploit chemical reactions) is presented.
