Abstract

A semiconductor inside a ring cavity is driven by an external light wave. Free carriers screen the interaction between excitons and photons. The density operator of this dissipative system is represented by a quasi-distribution assumed to be in the form of a generalized Gaussian. Its coefficients obey a system of 15 ODEs. There are chaotic solutions for the density operator and for the expectation values of some observables too. Nonclassical states of the boson modes may appear even during the chaotic motion.
