Abstract

As the communication in modern world growing rapidly, the demand for high data rate increasing proportionately. For high data rate communication, the channel plays a major role. For such purpose channel should be estimated accurately along with it the channel equalization is highly necessary. Though researchers have explored this area since last decades, still scope is there for its advancement. In this paper, the authors have considered the popular Zero Forcing technique and have been explored for adaptability. In literature, many ways have been proposed, but the novelty of this work is zero forcing equalization method. It is modified to Adaptive Zero Forcing Equalization method using simple LMS adaptive algorithm. The BER has been analyzed to prove its efficiency. Also, the eye diagram has been shown to support the result. When the ZFE has been modified with the estimated value, the resultant Adaptive ZFE performs better that ZF and LMS based equalizer. A Model of the communication system with BPSK modulation and Rayleigh fading channel is verified. This paper analyzes the performance of Zero forcing and adaptive zero forcing techniques for wireless channels.
