Abstract

With the development and popularization of massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology, the spatial non-stationarity and mutual coupling (MC) of massive MIMO channels are significant. Shannon channel capacity formula assumes that the signal is wide-sense stationary (WSS), which is not applicable in non-stationary channel. In this paper, we investigate the spatial non-stationary channel capacity of massive MIMO channel model with MC. The spatial statistical properties and stationary interval (SI) are simulated and the channel capacity is derived. Compared to the WSS channel capacity, the non-stationary channel capacity is greatly improved. There is also capacity increase in channel with MC due to the decorrelation of channel coefficients. The massive MIMO channel measurement can verify the accuracy of the channel model and the correctness of the spatial non-stationary channel capacity calculation.
