Abstract

This essay argues for changes in the Church with a particular focus on the Church in Africa. I will highlight some of the challenges facing the Roman Catholic Church in Africa, with regard to implementing those needed changes which could bring about a truly African Church in her structures, priorities, liturgies, laws, pastoral priorities, and practices and in her overall mission. The chapter concludes by proposing the nature and task of the kind of theology that should accompany a changing church in the changed context of World Christianity.
