Abstract
The main aim of the present paper is to show the time - space dynamics of the Serbian ethnic territory during the 20th century in the present-day area of Hungary, and also the changes and present state of their population number their proportion and linguistic-(ethnic) boundaries on regional and settlement level. In the last chapter we try to highlight the connection between the ethnicity and the minority self-government system of the Serbian minority in Hungary, too.
