Abstract

Marginalization is a process which restricted the people of a particular group to take advantages of those opportunities which are provided by some authorities or state and central government. Every society in the world has some degree of marginalization and experiences deprivations due to it. The fundamental causes of marginalization vary from society to society. The partition of the population based on birth according to the Varna system became the main cause of marginalization in Indian society. Education is also not untouched by the marginalization. This study is an attempt to explain the schemes and provisions initiated by government for marginalized children which are not only provide the education rights in institutions but also assist economically so that they can expand their status with equity in the society. Under these schemes, Government provides various scholarships and monthly stipends for different marginalized group children to study
