Abstract

Because complications of benign hydatidiform mole may endanger the life of the patient, methods of preventing their occurrence are presented. Such preventive methods include panhysterectomy or a prophylactic course of methotrexate.End results in the management of 196 patients with hydatidiform mole are presented. Within this group 10 eventually developed choriocarcinoma and 18 developed chorioadenoma destruens.
