Abstract

Transect method and key sites were used to study the grazing-induced changes in vegetation of the solonetz complex at the territory of Dzhanybek experimental station. Grazing response of plant species was grouped including those avoided, preferred and indifferent ones. Under consideration is the decrease in the plant height, number of species and total projective covering along gradient of cattle grazing. The optimum conditions for vegetation are identified in the area under low grazing pressure.
