Abstract

National trends of drug overdose deaths are increasing, driven by opioids and methamphetamine. Substance use in women of childbearing age is also rising and is a significant public health concern. We sought to examine the changes in maternal substance exposure determined by urine drug screens (UDS) on a labor unit over 2 years.
