Abstract

The diurnal variations in terrestrial magnetism are dependent upon geographical location. The variations seem more closely dependent upon geomagnetic latitude than upon geographic latitude, which leads to the belief that the configuration of the Earth's general magnetic field is a determining factor in the form of the diurnal variations.
