Abstract

Peroxidase activity was low in the canes of Thompson Seedless vines at mid-dormancy and increased considerably at bud burst. Increase was brought about earlier and was greater in thioureatreated canes than in untreated canes. Some isoperoxidases present during dormancy disappeared, and two new isoenzymes appeared with the break in dormancy. These isoenzymes appeared earlier in the thiourea-treated canes.
