Abstract

Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nagoya University (NU) has carried out a design and production class for autonomous glider models (flying robots) for undergraduate students since 2019. This paper reports the changes in the past three years in this program based on student questionnaire results. Not only NU but also Gifu University also started a similar class in 2020. Especially, this report focuses on the educational effectiveness of “Tokai Climax Series,” both universities’ final match, which is a collection of the top two to three aircraft from each university in Gifu Memorial Center on 29th of September 2021. This paper also reports some current problems and future subjects on this program from the viewpoints of an instructor (the first author) and a student (the second author).
