Abstract

A second objective of this study is to examine the role of various income sources in determining the distribution of total income. This is important in order to understand the implications of the implementation of specific policies on the well-being of farm families. For example, increased availability of human capital development for off-farm employment could be significant for smaller operations if they tend to use this market to supplement low-farm related incomes.
