Abstract

The growth of some species of Chlorophyta (Desmodesmus communis and Tetraedron caudatum) and Cyanoprokaryota (Aphanocapsa planctonica and Phormidium autumnale f. uncinata), and also the concentration of photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a and the sum of carotenoids) in their cells, was studied under the influence of various temperature regimes of the cultural medium (26, 32, and 38°C). It has been found that the pattern of changes in the studied indices depends on the species peculiarities of algae, on the temperature, and also on the duration of exposure. It has been found that Phormidium autumnale f. uncinata is most tolerant to the influence of extremely high temperature (38°C).
