Abstract

We have analyzed changes in the abundance of plants with different mycorrhizal status during the endoecogenetical succession of overgrowth in a dump of overburden rocks in the Fedorovsky open-pit mine (Karaganda, Kazakhstan). During succession, the abundance of species obligately forming arbuscular mycorrhizae tends to increase. The abundance ratio of plants with different mycorrhizal status stabilizes between the tenth and 20th year of overgrowth, varying only slightly thereafter.
