Abstract

Abstract Mostaghni, K. and Askari, M. 1996. Changes in serum albumin, cholesterol and glucose concentration in subclinical fatty liver syndrome in dairy cattle. J. Appl. Anim. Res., 10: 33–38. Experiments were carried out to determine the effect of insufficient feed intake on the development of the subclinical fatty liver syndrome and changes of some serum analytes in postpartum cows. Decreases (P>0.05) in albumin, cholesterol and glucose concentration were observed in experimental animals on days 13 to 28; 7 to 28 and 10 to 22 postpartum, respectively, compared to control animals. Infiltration of fat in the liver was also noted only in the experimental animals.
