Abstract
1. 1. Immature birds were deprived of water either by removing the source or denying them access. 2. 2. Birds tended to become hypocorticosteronaemic when the water source was removed and hypercorticosteronaemic when access to the water was denied. 3. 3. It is concluded that psychological factors are important in determining the response to putative Stressors.
