Abstract

SUMMARY Protection of propagation material of several medicinal plants in the frame of a genebank project is being carried out in our department. In the present work we have examined the changes in germination capacity of Foeniculum vulgare Mill. (Apiaceae) of different origins. The four years' results revealed different reactions of the tested seeds in respect of germination capacity. The effects of storage temperature, storage duration, ripening phase, intraspecific taxa and vegetation year were examined in detail.
