Abstract

The subprime crisis which started way back in 2007-2008 in US greatly affected the global economy, the financial market of many countries faced considerable hardship due to the crisis. The Chinese Financial Market did not face much crisis as China had always remained a closed economy, however it cannot be denied that the subprime crisis did have an impact on the Chinese financial market. This project deals with financial markets in general along with the purpose of having regulations to control such a market. The second part of the project goes on to discuss the subprime crisis and its impact on the global economy. The third part of the project elaborates the changes made in the financial market regulations of China after the crisis and lastly the project ends with suggestions as to how can the present system of regulation can be improved to tackle any future crisis.
