Abstract
Situated in the middle-southern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Wuming is a county belonging to the administrative system of Nanning Municipality, the capital city of Guangxi. With the Tropic of Cancer passing through its northern part, the county has a subtropical, monsoon climate. The total area of the county is 3,396 square kilometers. In 1993 its population was 629,700, with the Zhuang people making up 86.28 percent of the total, the Han people 13.2 percent, and the Miao, Yao, and other ethnic groups 0.52 percent.
