Abstract

Hepatic dearterialization has been performed in a series of patients with secondary tumors of the liver. A considerable decrease in activity of factors II, VII, and X was seen in all cases. In three patients having a high preoperative fibrinogen level, a decrease in the fibrinogen level was seen postoperatively. The plasminogen content decreased in all cases whereas the platelet level did not show any significant changes postoperatively.
