Abstract
Fresh Australian snake venom of Pseudechis porphyriacus, Demansia textilis, Denisonia superba, Acanthophis antarcticus, Oxyuranus scutellatus and Notechis scutatus did not cross react with antivenin except almost negligibly in the case of Acanthophis antarcticus antivenin for Demansia textilis and Denisonia superba. On standing for 2–3 months the dried venom acquired cross-reactions, the significance of which is discussed.
