Abstract

The results of experimental investigations of the change in crack resistance of austenitic steels and alloys in quasistatic loading under conditions of radiation damage are analyzed and summarized. It is shown that the decrease in fracture resistance related to the original condition of the material and the conditions of irradiation and testing possesses a saturation effect with an increase in damaging dosage and test temperature. The negative role of transmuted helium in the change in crack resistance is revealed.
