Abstract

The problem of changes in arousal at different ages during childhood is considered. The Necker Cube reversal rate is taken as a measure of arousal and data are reported showing a lowering of arousal level as children get older. The results, together with other characteristics of children's performance, are considered in terms of cortical-subcortical relations.
