Abstract
Although often assumed to be more prevalent in males and individuals of White race, the demographic characteristics of patients with eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases (EGIDs) are poorly understood. Population-based assessments of EGIDs may elucidate health disparities in diagnosis. We aimed to characterize the demographic distribution of EGIDs and evaluate the potential for bias in how subject characteristics are reported.
