Abstract

Indonesia still needs calibration facilities for X-ray multimeters, so calibration is carried out abroad, requiring a significant budget and a relatively long time. This affects the services provided by the conformity testing laboratory (LUK) to be hampered. An initial review has been conducted to identify calibration laboratories capable of X-ray multimeter calibration services and review their readiness in Indonesia. The study was carried out by examining the radiation metrology scheme and the capabilities of the dosimetry laboratory. The review results show that a secondary standard dosimetry laboratory (LDSS) carries out X-ray multimeter calibration. However, LDSS in Indonesia still needs to be capable of X-ray multimeter calibration services. A more detailed study will be continued regarding the needs and technical infrastructure criteria for an X-ray multimeter calibration laboratory to complete this study.
