Abstract

A neonate born with atypical sex development presents with challenges to the clinician as well as parents. There are challenges in diagnosis, gender assignment, initiating and adherence to treatment, follow up, counseling and prenatal diagnosis and counselling. There are uncertainties in the time of prenatal diagnosis as well. The objective of this case report is to highlight the challenges faced by a parent of a neonate with ambiguous genitalia.
