Abstract

Technology innovations have been changing the ways individuals work and organisations operate. Benefits of the new technologies are realised only when users use them at an adequate level. Therefore it is important to identify the factors and/ or drivers which influence the users to accept or reject a new technology. This research is based on a case study that focuses on evaluating the challenges and impacts of Information Communication Technology (ICT) acceptance by highly qualified, but non-technical users. The study included in-depth interviews among the faculty members in the Business School and IT support professionals at a leading private University in Bangladesh. The results of this study identified various operational impacts associated with implementation of new ICT solutions and isolated the causes of the problems.
