Summary
Inaugurated as one of the connectivity targets under the BRI in 2013, the Digital Silk Road (DSR) was conveyed in July 2015 as a mere area of multilateral cooperation with China to the business community and governments at the China-EU Digital Cooperation Forum. In 2017, China declared a new initiative to create a Digital Silk Road (DSR) as a part of the BRI project. The research interests include Chinese political economy, Sino-EU Foreign Policy, cybersecurity, BRI, and local government. Within the BRI, the Digital Silk Road (DSR) approach is emerging since states are supposed to cooperate with emerging technology for development and trade. The study affirms that DSR is broadening economic transition, reinforcing regional integration, and promoting financial resources to improve global multilateralism and political stability. This paper pro vides a snapshot of the communication and information segment of the initiative, which has been underestimated or sometimes ignored in current literature
