Abstract

It is shown, that a previously constructed phase-shift ambiguity for an arbitrary number, 2 L+1, of partial waves can be connected to L − 1 other ambiguities. The two sets of phase shifts defined by the chain of ambiguities become equal (modulo π) at the endpoints of the chain, but in general not at the endpoints of the ambiguities. Also other examples of such chains are given.
