Abstract
In the preset study, we used the CFRP-steel hybrid members made by combining a CFRP sheet to steel as a side impact beams. For simulating the side collision, the drop impact test (at the speed of 10km/h and 20km/h) under the boundary condition of three point bending test was conducted and the PAM-CRASH Explicit Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tool was used in order to predict the impact response behavior.
