Abstract

The heat transfer between a fluidized bed and an immersed body has been a part of many investigations in the past. Over last fifty years there has been several investigations giving the coverage to experimental findings and theoretical development. This has resulted in developing the empirical correlations. Theoretical developments in formulating the model and verifying the model parameters through experimental data have also been a part of such investigations.The present investigation has been aimed in studying the CFD simulations of heat transfer from the immersed body in a two dimensional fluidized bed varying the gas velocity in the range of u/u <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">mf</sub> from 5 to 15. There is no study which gives the comparison for the group A, B & C for the heat transfer in the fluidized bed varying the u/u <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">mf</sub> from 5 to 15.
