Abstract

Fluidized bed spray granulation is used to produce porous granular particles from suspensions, solutions, and melts. In this work, the drying of the spray and the drying of the particles in the fluidized bed are simulated using the Two Fluid Model (TFM) with the Eulerian-Eulerian approach. Using the wetted surfaces of the particle, the dust integration is implemented. The model is used to simulate the particle growth for a semi-batch fluidized bed spray granulation process.
